Good morning! I’m so excited that I’m spending this weekend at The Florida Christian Writers Conference in Leesburg, Florida. I know I will pick up useful information to make this website and the novel that I’m working on much better! So my going will benefit you also! Please pray for me as I go on this journey!
Today we are studying one of the most blessed and amazing Scriptures! By it we can know we are saved and spending eternity with God. Thanks be to God and Jesus Christ, our Lord.
“But the righteousness that is by faith says, ‘Do not say in your heart, who will ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down), or who will descend into the deep? (that is to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? The Word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart. That is the message concerning faith that we proclaim: if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. (Romans 10:5-10)
As Christians who believe what God promises in the Bible, we know that we are righteous in His eyes. It saddens me deeply when Christians talk about who will go to hell or see billboards that say, “Heaven or Hell?” This Scripture says, “Do not say in your heart…who will descend into the deep.” We need to worry about our own hearts to make sure that the Word (Jesus) is so near to us that He is in our mouths and in our hearts so that we can say with certainty that Jesus is Lord and know in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead. Since whatever is in our hearts is spoken through our mouths (or written through our hands) we will let others know about Jesus through our words and actions.
This is the clearest Scripture in the Bible that tells us how we can be saved. It is so easy if you have come to the point that you believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord and that God raised Him from the dead. If God is pursuing you (which He is if you are reading this) and you believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord and that God raised Him from the dead, all you need to do is confess it with your mouth! Say, “Jesus, I believe you are Lord and that God raised you from the dead.” Then, you will be saved. You will be spending eternity in heaven because that is God’s promise, and He always keeps His promises. Praise be to God and Jesus Christ, and please let me know if you did that!
