SOAP Daily Devotion Galatians 3:26-27 – What does it mean to clothe yourself in Christ? – Free online Bible study – Commentary in easy English – Day 731

You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. (Galatians 3:26-27)

Good morning. I pray you have a wonderful 2023 and receive all of God’s blessings.

You should be glad you’re not sitting next to me. It’s early. I haven’t showered, brushed my teeth or hair, and I’m still in my PJs. I feel like a nasty-wasty skunk with three words to describe me, “Stink, stank, stunk!”

But as I go to God in prayer, Jesus has my back. He covers me. God can’t see my dirt. He sees the Spirit’s light shining from me. I’m beautiful to him.

God delights in you, too. You’re radiant in his presence. See yourself as God sees you—vibrant and spotless. Since you’re clothed in Jesus’ spirit, pray for Jesus’ guidance and power to lead you through life’s difficulties and be a blessing to others.

Father, I praise you for sending Jesus to cover me in exquisiteness. When I’m feeling like a grinch, remind me that I’m clothed in Christ. I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  1. You are beautiful to me too. God has certainly blessed us with loving family, and a new year ahead of us filled with many possibilities. We should be so grateful for God’s gifts and being clothed in Jesus.

Blessings, Jody, to you and your family.
