SOAP Devotion Galatians 3:21-22 – Do you have faith in Baby Jesus who lies in the manger and receive what was promised? – Free online Bible study – Commentary in easy English – Day 729

Is the law, therefore, opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law. But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe. (Galatians 3:21-22)

Today Jesus is lying in the manger. What do you believe about him? Scripture tells us that obeying the Law is not required to receive his promises. If you believe Jesus is the son of God and your savior, you will go to heaven.

But there’s so much more. Do you hear Jesus knocking at your door? Do you let him in? He wants to have a personal relationship with you and eat at your table. He doesn’t want to watch you celebrate Christmas. He wants to celebrate with you and help you find your gifts.

Father, I’m not perfect, so I praise you for sending Jesus to take the blame for my wrongdoings, making me righteous in your sight. Help me hear Jesus knocking so I will let him in to lead and celebrate life with me. Thank you for giving me your gifts of _______. Help me use them to spread your love. I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  1. Just went through all your responses to me that I had not read. I love to read them. I am praying for our families, this morning. Your girls need special prayers for the rest of their pregnancies. Today we are putting away the
Christmas tree and decorations. It always makes me feel a little sad, BUT I am not putting away the knowledge that baby Jesus was given to us for many important reasons. God certainly had a plan. Love you, Sis. Blessings in the New Year!

    1. Sorry I have not been so timely with my responses. Life is hectic with Christmas and birthdays and baby showers. All wonderful, but time-consuming. Thank you for your prayers. They have helped. Both of my girls are doing better with their pregnancies. I also prayed for you and your family this morning. I love you, Sis.
