SOAP Devotion Galatians 3:3 – Do you need the Holy Spirit? – Free online Bible study – Commentary in easy English – Day 723

How foolish can you be? After starting your Christian lives in the Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort? (Galatians 3:3)

God gives his Spirit to everyone who asks Jesus to be their Savior. The Spirit loves, comforts, counsels, directs, empowers, advocates, intercedes, purifies, stands by us, helps us remember, gives spiritual gifts, and changes our minds and hearts so we can be more like Jesus.

Read the list again. Do you need any of these gifts? Then pray for them. Praying and living life with the Spirit is much easier than trying to be perfect by your own human effort.

Do you feel like you don’t have the resources, connections, or brainpower to succeed? Being successful takes work, but the Holy Spirit will intervene and do what you can’t do on your own. God has placed a dream in your heart. Go for it!

Father, I praise you for giving me your Spirit. Help me not be foolish and go through one day without the advantage of your Spirit. Today, I especially need your Spirit’s gift(s) of _________. Thank you for helping me achieve my dreams and goals. I am nothing without you. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

    1. Thank you for your encouragement and coming to my website. I prayed for you and your family this morning. Know how much God loves you. Blessings, Jody

  1. I reread the list this morning and I don’t think that there is anyone who doesn’t need everything on that list, everyday, or at some point in their lives. This morning I am thinking about a dying family member. I wonder if he is scared to die after some of the things he has done. He has committed, but then we all have. He will be talking to The Lord Our God and he will have to atone for his sins. Will he be able to tell God that he is sorry, when he couldn’t tell the people he hurt that he was sorry. How can a person be so unfeeling, so out of contact with the things they have done. I guess this is all between him and God and I need not worry about what will happen when he is gone. I always felt that he lied and tricked my parents and they are already in Heaven. What Happens? I am praying about all of this.

    1. As we have already discussed, whoever keeps secrets and lies and doesn’t ask God for forgivesness, will have the secrets shouted from the rooftops. Mom and dad knew both sides of the story, so it was up to them who to believe. I love you, Sis.

  2. Did you write the article yourself or you hired someone to do it?
I was wondering because I am a site owner too and struggle with writing new content all the time.
Someone told me to use AI to do create articles which I am kinda considering because the output is almost written by human. Here is the sample content they sent me – https://sites.google.com/view/best-ai-content-writing-tools/home

Let me know if you think I should go ahead and use AI.

    1. I write my own blog. The best blogs are always written from the heart. I suggest you write your own material also. I hope you know how much God loves you and the blessings that he provides. Jody
