Paul, an apostle—sent not from men nor by a man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead—and all the brothers and sisters with me, To the churches in Galatia: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. (Galatians 1:1-5)
I’m thankful God has connected us to travel through Galatians together. I pray and trust that God will give you grace and peace.
This passage highlights: “Jesus gave himself for our sins to rescue us.” Could there be more comforting words? I need rescuing. I’m misunderstood. Family members see the strength I have from the Holy Spirit as a weakness. They don’t think I can accomplish my goals and see me as an old woman with a broken back. I need to be patient. In the months ahead when I accomplish my goals through the Holy Spirit’s power, God will rescue me, and my family will see the strength I get from him.
Whatever your problem is in this present evil age, you can trust God with it. Jesus will rescue you, so there’s no need to worry. Be patient and thankful and praise God for your many blessings.
Father, I praise you for sending Jesus to rescue me. Help my loved ones see the strength and joy you give me. Let them want what I have so they will seek you. I give you my problems and know you’ll take them, use them for good, and help me through them. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.
