Paul, an apostle—sent not from men nor by a man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead—and all the brothers and sisters with me, To the churches in Galatia: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. (Galatians 1:1-5)
I’m thankful God has connected us to travel through Galatians together. I pray and trust that God will give you grace and peace.
This passage highlights: “Jesus gave himself for our sins to rescue us.” Could there be more comforting words? I need rescuing. I’m misunderstood. Family members see the strength I have from the Holy Spirit as a weakness. They don’t think I can accomplish my goals and see me as an old woman with a broken back. I need to be patient. In the months ahead when I accomplish my goals through the Holy Spirit’s power, God will rescue me, and my family will see the strength I get from him.
Whatever your problem is in this present evil age, you can trust God with it. Jesus will rescue you, so there’s no need to worry. Be patient and thankful and praise God for your many blessings.
Father, I praise you for sending Jesus to rescue me. Help my loved ones see the strength and joy you give me. Let them want what I have so they will seek you. I give you my problems and know you’ll take them, use them for good, and help me through them. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

I don’t think my family sees me as an old woman yet. I do what I want or what needs to be done with little or no problems. They view Drew differently due to his MS. I remember being protective of mom as she got older and I know you did too. I think it is the natural progression of life. We take care of our children when they are infants and children and as everyone gets older they end up taking care of us. I hope that I am as lucky as mom and dad in older age. They were active until they found out they had cancer. Lots of people sit in chairs at nursing homes and do nothing for years before their death. I pray that Jesus will help me through the difficulties of old age and will bless me with good health until the end. I pray the same thing for you, Jody.
Thank you for your comment. I should be thankful I’m in good health and not care what my children think! I pray that God can use me in some capacity until the day I die and that I go with my boots on as grandma did. I pray I don’t get dementia and have to sit in a nursing home and do nothing. I also pray the same for you. Love you, Sis. Have a fun day. I’m thankful you and Drew can travel together and have fun! Blessings, Jody
I am not real fantastic with English but I come up this really leisurely to translate.
Thanks for coming to my website. I hope you know how much God loves you. Blessings, Jody
