Acts 11:11-14 – How do you start manifesting your desires?

“Right then (after Peter’s vision) three men who had been sent to me from Caesarea stopped at the house where I was staying. The Spirit told me to have no hesitation about going with them. These six brothers also went with me, and we entered the man’s house. He told us how he had seen an angel appear in his house and say, ‘send to Joppa for Simon who is called Peter. He will bring you a message through which you and all your household will be saved.’” (Acts 11:11-14)

Be a Cornelius. He dreamed of becoming closer to God and did what he could to accomplish that. He was faithful, worshipped God, prayed, and gave freely to people in need. He obeyed God and invited everyone he knew to hear Peter speak. In return, God sent an angel, Peter, and the Holy Spirit to make sure he knew about Jesus so that he, his household, and his friends could be saved.

God places big dreams in all of us. Sometimes we suppress them, thinking the dream is impossible. But nothing is impossible for God. Think about your God-given talents and dream wildly of what you can accomplish with them if you had a team and a lot of money. Then begin praying for your dream to become a reality and for people you can help. Do what you can do by yourself and ask God for the rest. What you can’t make happen, God will.

He’ll send angels and choose from His body, the perfect people to help us and make sure they follow through. We’ll help those whom He sends because God wants us to have mutualistic relationships like Peter and Cornelius where everyone benefits.

Dearest Heavenly Father, I praise you for putting a dream in my heart. Help me discover the magnitude of that dream. Help me think of ways to begin making my dream a reality. I’m willing to help the people You give me and to obey You. I have faith you will provide angels, people to help, and the money and other resources I will need. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.
