He did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies the man who has faith in Jesus. Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On that of observing the law? No, but on that of faith. For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law. Is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles, too? Yes, of Gentiles, too, since there is only one God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through the same faith. Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law. (Romans 3:26-31)
I believe that God is just and fair at all times to everyone. Some of you grew up in horrible homes with alcoholic parents or parents who didn’t know how to love. We all have God as the perfect Father. Maybe you have been blessed to meet Him, but your siblings or children have not. Everyone has a spirit that will still be alive after they die. We read in our last session that it is very possible that God not only gave His chosen people, the Jews, a chance to meet Jesus after death but also it is possible that he gave the Canaanites who lived in Canaan (Israel), before the Jews took it as their Promised Land, a chance to meet Jesus. I believe your siblings and children will meet Jesus and know his incredible love at some time, whether it is in this life or after. Then they will have the choice to accept Jesus’ love or reject it. Jesus is the only way to get to heaven; the Bible is very clear about that. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but through Me.” (John 14:6) Jesus loves you. If you are not one of His sheep now, He is waiting for you with open arms. Jesus said in John 10:16, “I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.”
Can we boast because we are Christians? Certainly not. Please don’t. There is nothing more of a turn-off to non-Christians than a self-righteous Christian. We can’t keep the Law, so we have no right to boast. But we don’t have to worry about breaking any law in the past because we have the gift of grace and forgiveness through our faith in Jesus from God. If we could love every second of the day we could keep the Law, but we can’t. God is the God of everyone, Jews and non-Jews. If you are not with Him, He is waiting for you! All you have to do is pray the prayer from Day 1.
